Koji Toyoda (February 17, 1925 – April 28, 2019) was a Japanese automotive engineer and executive who played a key role in the development of the Toyota Motor Corporation. He was the second son of Kiichiro Toyoda, the founder of Toyota. Koji joined the company in 1949 and rose through the ranks to become the executive vice president. He was instrumental in the development of several Toyota vehicles, including the first-generation Corolla, Crown, and Corona models. He also oversaw the company's push into the American market during the 1960s and 1970s. After retiring from Toyota in 1984, Koji continued to serve as an advisor to the company and was awarded the Japanese Order of the Sacred Treasure medal in 1994 for his contributions to the automotive industry.
